WAREZ: 3D Spin Ball

This is 3D Spin Ball – the shareware version (not the full game). A mix of pinball and pong and breakout – you control four paddles and the aim is to remove all the balls in the center of the screen. The game is published by Ultisoft and authored by Alex Liebert, released in 1997. The credits are from the help document included:

WAREZ: Tennis Anyone?

Ok, this is the first of 300! Yes 300! Arcade games. Most shareware. Lovely lovely shareware! Be prepared to witness the most excruciatingly bizarre, awful and cool home-brewed arcade games pre-2003!

To start off we have an ever exciting variation of TENNIS! Yeh I’m pumped, like you. Tennis Anyone, not dated but I’m guessing was released around somewhere between 1994 and 1998. Authored by “Pete & Al”, the game has been constructed using Klick & Play – a game-builder application made by Maxis (the guys behind the million dollar Sims franchise). Anyway the game is just like a simple game of pong – with lovely graphics from paint, its a bit fast/sensitive – but playable. This game does not work on Windows Vista up, I have tried – it just sits dead.
