WAREZ: WinZip 9.0 SR-1 (6224)

From the Orange Broadband CD to the Tiscali one, again given to me by Roy. This CD is more packed, and one of the first things I came across was a set-up for WinZip.

I don’t think I really need to explain what WinZip is, or how it works. Its one of the most popular archive programs, aside 7zip and WinRAR, and allows you to make Zip files, open them and extract the files inside.

Please note that this does not contain any keys, and is the FREE TRIAL version.

WAREZ: Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106

From the Orange Broadband CD given to me by Roy, comes an old installation/setup for Internet Explorer 6 (specifically 6.0.2800.1106). Sadly, much to my dissapointment this is the run-of-the-mill version of IE6 with no Orange flavourings, unlike the previous Internet Explorer I uploaded by SoldOut. Not even the homepage is set, nor are there any bookmarks. 😦
Although strangly enough it comes with a branding cabinet file (BRANDING.CAB)… strange.

Anyway, this is great if you’re looking for a basic IE6 set-up. Which surprisingly is sitll used by many today. (Ps. I think this also includes Scripting & Outlook Express 6.)

Also I need to mention, this setup requires an internet connection – as its more of a downloader.

Another version of Adobe’s Acrobat Reader – this time version 5.05 9/24/2001 (Guessing that is the date it was released). Found on a games sampler CD which came with a copy of British tabloid magazine; News of the World.

WAREZ: RealJukebox 2 (Build 1.0.2.340)

I have vague memories using RealJukebox; another bollocks program of the Real family. I never used it for much longer than 5 minutes; and usually only used it because I opened it by mistake. It seems to be working on the whole ‘music library’ side (I cant promise you it’ll play everything, or read your tags properly, even at all) but not so much on the internet features; which just scream at you to update. Also for this matter I’m guessing the registration won’t work either.

WAREZ: Terapin FTP Browser v2.3.1 (NTL Branded)

I have no experience of using this software, or any software by Terapin and so have no comments, or can’t comment on this WAREZ. Post comments on how it goes! This version is Branded by NTL; but I don’t think that changes too much to the base program here (Terapin).

Oh RealPlayer… I have vague, and annoyed memories of using this piece of software. This is the RealOne Player, that came on a NTL broadband promotional CD, but it was common with those AOL users ;). Not much to say on this one really, except it has be awarded many times as being an annoying product.
